- Un-drafted after college, Becky was signed
by the WNBA's New York Liberty on May 12, 1999. Her aggressive play at both
ends of the court quickly impressed the coaching staff and made her a
favorite among Liberty fans.
- Saw significant action coming off the bench as a rookie, appearing in 30
games
As a key reserve, shot .422 (27-64 FGA) from the floor, .289 (11-38) from
three-point land, .882 from the line (15-17 FTA)
- In her first taste of the WNBA Playoffs, averaged 8.3 minutes over six
contests while chipping in with 2.0 points per game.
- Notched 10 points (2-4 FGA, 2-3 from behind the arc) during Game Two of
the WNBA Championship to help the Liberty rally and force a third game. |
