-In January 2007,
Becky moved to the Spanish League and played for
Rivas Futura.
- On April 4, 2007 during the WNBA Draft, Becky
Hammon was traded to the San Antonio Silver Stars
along with a second round draft pick in the 2008
draft for the second overall first round pick in the
2007 WNBA Draft, center Jessica Davenport.
- Becky had the best season of her career in 2007
posting career high averages of 18.8 points per
game, 5.0 assist (first in WNBA) and 2.8 rebounds.
- She was an MVP candidate after leading the Silver
Stars to a 20-14 record and the second seed in the
Western Conference. She quickly became a fan
favorite and in San Antonio earned the nickname,
"Big Shot Becky" because of her ability to hit shots
in clutch moments.
- Named to the WNBA All-Star West team.
- Winner of the Dribble, Dish and Swish Skills
Competition.
- Was named player of the week twice. (May 28 - June
3 & June 18 - June 24)
- Won the WNBA Peak Performer Award for Assist.
(Averaged 5.0 assist per game.)
- Named to the All WNBA First team.
- San Antonio Express News named Becky Sportswoman
of the Year.
- Becky signed with CSKA Moscow. A Russian
Basketball powerhouse.
- CSKA won the World League Championship. |
